‡ Wear with our matching single pleat dinner trouser.
Introducing our take on black tie: a traditional dinner suit (also known as a tuxedo) interpreted through our understated Neapolitan style, with softer construction and a more relaxed silhouette.
A natural, unpadded shoulder with 'spalla camicia' construction allows for modest shirring (or 'grinze') where a larger sleeve head is set into a comparatively high and smaller armhole. A sharp peak lapel, wide without being exaggerated, rolls to a single button closure that sits relatively low in the waist. Drape through the chest provides comfort and a flattering shape, while jetted pockets trimmed in matching silk keep the finish clean.
Our jacket is half-lined for comfort and breathability, with double vents allowing for greater ease of movement than the ventless back traditionally found on dinner jackets. The lapels are faced in Italian silk grosgrain, with a subtle ribbed texture and matte finish that lend an understated elegance. Black horn buttons offer a quiet contrast to the silk, bringing a contemporary touch in place of traditional fabric-covered buttons.
Made from a 340g barathea wool, woven in England by Alfred Brown, the trousers offer excellent drape and a versatile weight for year-round wear.
